Change Your Thoughts, Change Your Life
I hope all is well! We get to experience a new week & it's a blessing to be alive and well. This week we're going to focus on our thoughts. What's in your mind Sis?? Do you hear negative things or positive things in your thoughts? Today, I'm going to share some quotes that tell us how powerful our thoughts are, some affirmations you can use to adjust your thoughts, and a scripture that helps me with my thoughts.
Here's some great quotes I found:
- Change your thoughts, change your world.
- If you're thinking already, you might as well think big.
- Whether you think you can, or you think you cant...you're right.
- What consumes your mind controls your life.
- Your thoughts are your reality.
Those quotes are on point. I feel so encouraged by just reading over them. The biggest thing I noticed is the responsibility regarding my thoughts is mine. I choose what I think. I choose to think positive or negative. I didn't always be in this place but it took time to change my thoughts. The first step is acknowledging your thoughts need to change. The 2nd step is changing them all day everyday. As soon as a negative thought pops up you cut it off and say a positive thought or scripture instead. The more you say it the more you will believe it and the more you will think it.
I remember the voice I heard in my head was always negative. I had to change the way I thought. To be honest, that negative voice didn't come from me. That negative voice grew from the relationships I had in my life. I had a lot of negative people around me. I had a negative childhood. I had a lot of negative experiences with men also. These negative relationship spoke negative words to me that I chose to believe which led me to speak it over myself.
Some of the deepest hurts are mental and emotional. These hurts will cause your thinking to change. We can't help that someone chose to hurt us. Sometimes it's so unexpected and it knocks us off our feet. However, our healing is our responsibility and healing of the mind is the beginning for everything else to heal in our lives. Like a said before, as soon as a negative thought pops up you cut it off and say a positive thought or scripture instead. The more you say it the more you will believe it and the more you will think it.

- I am enough.
- There is no one better to be than myself
- I forgive myself for my mistakes.
- My challenges help me grow.
- Today will be the best day of my life
This Week's Assignment:
We're going to work on our thoughts. Changing your thoughts will really change your life. It happened for me so I know it can happen for you. This week choose 1 thought to change, 1 affirmation to speak over yourself, & 1 scripture to meditate on and speak over yourself.

The scripture I heard this morning during my prayer time was Philippians 4:6-7. I believe this scripture was not only a reminder for me but for you as well. It says: Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving present your request to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
